Welcome
to Blessed Sacrament Catholic School!
I am so happy you took the time to visit our web site! I
invite you now to come and visit our school so that you
may see for yourself what we have to offer your family.
We are dedicated to providing a Christ centered community
in a safe and nurturing environment. You will see the
truth of this statement when you visit our campus.
We provide a holistic education with high academic standards
which was clearly evident to the eight educators who recently
visited our school for three days. They unanimously affirmed
what was written in our two year self study for reaccreditation.
In July we received official word from the Western Association
of Schools and Colleges (WASC), as well as the Western
Catholic Education Association (WCEA), that we had received
a full six year term of accreditation. This is the longest
possible accreditation term offered so we are very proud
of our students, teachers, staff, parents, parishioners
and priests, who were all involved in the process.
A copy of our Self Study, as well as the official WCEA/WASC
Report, is available in the school office.
We encourage our parents to be involved with the education
and well being of their children. This was very evident,
especially during the summer months, when some of our
parents used funds raised by the students, parents, and
parishioners to enhance our computer and science labs.
In addition, some very dedicated parents were responsible
for many major improvements made to enhance the school
plant. These improvements included, but were not limited,
to the following: complete renovation of the enclosed
playground used by our Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten and
Kindergarten students; the installation of a new, permanent
playground which includes a handball court, tether balls,
and climbing equipment which will be used at recess, as
well as during physical education classes; and the beautification
of the school grounds with Mary's statue as the focal
point.
Our goal has been and continues to be the education of
children in a value oriented environment for their personal
growth and enrichment of the community.
May God bless each of you,
Roisin McAree, Principal
