2009 Academic Decathlon *** 1st Place *** Congratulations Team BSS!!! BSS took FIRST PLACE in the Diocese of Orange Junior High Academic Decathlon on Saturday, March 7th. The team of 10 students competed with 18 Catholic elementary schools in Religion, Math, Science, English, Literature, Fine Arts, Social Studies, Current Events and Logic. Our Decathletes will represent the Diocese of Orange at the State Academic Decathlon in San Francisco on May 2nd. What a great blessing from God to our school!

SUMMER UPGRADES AT BSS Over the summer months school personnel and dedicated volunteers did a lot of work on the school grounds in order to continually maintain and improve the campus.  This last summer much was accomplished including the following: Library Remodel: *** Photos *** New ceilings, lights, windows, shades, furniture, air conditioner, carpet, and paint; new books, computers, and printers. Bookkeepers' Office: New custom made furniture, cabinets, carpet, air conditioner and paint. Main Office:: Upgraded doors, bench and chairs. Teacher's Lounge: New shades and air conditioner. New Carpet: Grade 7, grade 8 and music room. New LCD Projectors: Installed in grades 1/N, 4 to be installed in classrooms by end of September. New Flat Screen Televisions: To be installed in grades K/D and 4th by the end of September.. Student Restroom: New toilet seat covers and tissue containers. School and Gym Security: Hardware to the double doors were repaired or replaced and locks upgraded. Heating System: All the heater covers in the classrooms and officed were powder painted; a new furnace will be installed by the end of September to better control the heating system for grades 3, 4, 5, 6 and the music room.
